Costa Rica….day 2 or so…

4 October, 2007 (08:59) | Costa Rica

We were at the Peace Lodge for Three days and they all just seemed to blend together. One afternoon we decided to take a little drive and see some more of the countryside

old bridge vs new bridge

hit 7-11 for items we forgot

guard dog

critter crossing

the best fruit ever

Most towns only had one phone it seemed

my spanish blows but i’m pretty this sign means “GANGWAAAY”

amused by a monkeyface/angel logo

stopping to eat at someones house/cafe in the middle of nowhere

the woman new ZERO english. i pointed to the only other guy in the places plate and stuck two fingers in the air. We got two huge platters including steak and soda. It cost $1.50

i got 2 steaks out of the deal

back porch/bathroom

Back to the Lodge

Easily amused by our Peace Lodge bracelets which gave us the ability to roam wherever

Pool Party

the bottom pool was absolutely frigid

jacuzzi

lifeguard

In the rainforest it rains every afternoon and all night. Fairly hard. I opened our door one night and found this little guy drinking out of a puddle on our door step so I invited him in.

Made himself right at home on my lap by the fire

Left him here and went to bed but at 4 a.m.

Morning view last morning here

Our dollar goes along way. Give them $100 and they give you 48956.00 colones

On the Road Again

Our tiny Dihatsu’s Climbing the volcano

You literally have about an hour to see the crater of the volcano. Its gotta be early in the morning due to the cloud cover. We got there and this is what we saw. yea

Disappointed we hiked to a Poas Lagoon on top of Volcano Poas

On the way out we backtracked to the crater and got extremely lucky cuz the wind blew the clouds out for about 5 min. It was mind blowing

And then the clouds came back. Check me out on top of a volcano (i was there i swear)

Look up cuz there birds look funny
